Flying to the border between fact and fiction |
I usually go by Vel. Mostly reblogging, and currently a lot of Transformers (all continuities). There will be robots getting nookie. I tag gifs, spoilers and nsfw content—let me know if there are any other warning tags you’d like me to include. |
I keep seeing these
“omg this eye came out great let me draw the other one fffffuuuuuuuuuuuucccckkkkkk”
posts
so
you’re welcome.
Note eyes aren’t ever 100% identical because that is uncanny valley territory. Ideally you should do this just for the general shape of the eye and then draw in eyelashes, irises &c, or just do this as a sketching crutch when you keep getting the size/shape of the eyes wrong.
This may not work for every angle ever but works well for most 3/4 views. Keep in mind the eyes’ alignment will follow that of the face, so if your character’s head is tilted it’ll look completely off if you don’t rotate the eye and move it to where it should be.
Frontal views don’t require the “squish” step though you may need to rotate the eyes so they are straight if the first one you drew is slanted.
Digitally drawn art only obvs.
